First- The prep- start with a hot shower or a hot towel around your face. It’s also good to use a mild exfoliate. This will help lift the hairs to get the closest shave possible. Use a glycerin based shaving cream apply in a curricular motion.

Second- The shave- About.com recommends a 3 blade razor- 5 is too many and will just aggravate the skin, 1-2 will not properly cut all the hairs. Make sure your razor is sharp and you rinse it often this will help prevent razor burn. Hold the skin tight with your free hand and shave against the grain.
